This website is operated by Square Deal Real Estate, LLC, a real estate brokerage licensed in Iowa and Nebraska, located at 946 S. Locust St., Glenwood, IA 51534. When this policy says "we," "us," or "our," it means Square Deal Real Estate, LLC.
WHAT WE COLLECT
Information you give us. When you fill out a form on our site, such as a contact form, a home or land value request, a Buyer's or Seller's Guide request, our veterans event list, or a request for our list of local pros, we collect what you enter. Depending on the form, that may include your name, email address, phone number, property address or location, property type and acreage, your timeline, and any message you write.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically receives basic technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, device type, and the pages you view. This helps keep the site secure and working properly.
Property search tools. Our property search is provided by IDX Broker. If you use those tools to search, save listings, or sign up for listing alerts, IDX Broker may collect information and use cookies to make those features work. Any information you submit through those tools is shared with us so we can help you.
Maps. Some pages include Google Maps. When a map loads, Google may collect information under its own privacy policy.
HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
We use your information to:
- Respond to your questions and requests
- Prepare the home or land value estimate you asked for
- Email you the Buyer's or Seller's Guide you requested
- Send listing alerts or event updates you signed up for
- Follow up about your real estate plans, and occasionally share market updates, news, or events we think you'll find useful (you can unsubscribe anytime)
- Keep our website secure and improve how it works
- Meet our legal and professional obligations as a real estate brokerage
Phone calls and texts. If you give us your phone number, we may call or text you about the request you made. We don't send marketing text messages unless you separately agree to receive them.
HOW WE SHARE YOUR INFORMATION
We never sell your personal information. We only share it:
- With the people on our team who need it to help you
- With service providers that help us run our business and website, such as our website host, email provider, property search provider, and the tools we use to manage client relationships. They may only use your information to provide services to us.
- With a lender, inspector, title company, or other professional only when you ask us to connect you, or as needed to complete your transaction
- With a real estate agent in another area if you ask us for a referral
- When required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of our clients, our team, or others
COOKIES
Our website and the tools built into it (like property search and maps) may use cookies and similar technology to remember your preferences and make features work. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though some features, like saved searches, may not work properly without them. Our site does not currently respond to "Do Not Track" browser signals.

KEEPING IT SAFE
We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information. No website or email system is completely secure, so please don't send sensitive information like Social Security or bank account numbers through our forms.
CHILDREN
Our website is meant for adults looking to buy, sell, or learn about real estate. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13.
OTHER WEBSITES
Our site links to other websites, such as social media, local government, and community resources. We aren't responsible for their privacy practices, so we encourage you to read their policies.
